Mr. Kristof

You make good blogging.

Over the weekend, my current writer-of-note, Nicholas Kristof, wrote about the horrid conditions that sex trade workers (slaves, he not-totally-inaccurately calls them) face in south east Asia.

The beatings, the torture, the forced confinement. Most of which can be attributed to wanting your charges to attract the most dollars. That's right, dollars.

These women are not being beaten into submission so that they will "satisfy" Cambodians. They are being treated this way to attract foreign, almost exclusively western, clientele. Clientele that is brought to the area by well-intentioned actions like the one Mr. Kristof performed recently and was the subject of my first blog post ever: Building a school in Cambodia

Get OUT! Stay AWAY! Then the slum-prostitute situation will no longer be financially feasible.

Help stop Western-spurred Cambodian torture-slavery-sex-trade! STOP GOING TO CAMBODIA!
